Rejected Grand Cinema Logos...worth $24,999?

Sometimes you win, sometimes you just strike out.

For every logo that is picked as 'the one' there is a monumental pile of logos that end up in oblivion, rejected like chapters of the bible deemed 'too weird, too strange' to be included in the next updated human REVISION. This is a blog post dedicated to the many GRAND CINEMA LOGOS that just didn't make the jump into the FINAL ROUND.

Please enjoy this impressively educational design post. Thank you.

Man, that second Grand from the top---I haven't seen anything that freaky since The Wizard of Oz mid-century flying monkeys.

Thanks RR - you started our week off with an audible chuckle. Your friend(s) at the Bureau of Entasis (BOE).

hopefully we'll squeak through without any backlash from the Rusty George Collective Proxy Agents... but It means a lot that you guys get an uplift from these subversive/illicit efforts.

As the flaming wreckage of globalization comes billowing down upon our fair city, it is important to incubate local and sustainable humor sustenance.

Though dark dark times are ahead, doesn't mean it can't also be funny.

May the god of flying monkeys bless you all.

Great companion piece to my earlier discussion RE: The Grand Cinema logo. I especially liked the elephant man which, in a way, is more appropriate on the Grand than an actual elephant. Thanks NIN.

he's not an animal.... HE IS A HUMAN BEING!!!!!!

Hahahaha...this could be the funniest thing I've seen on FeedTacoma yet.

Shouldn't #3 say "The Grand Old Cinema"?

by Crenshaw Sepulveda on 1/26/2009 @ 9:21pm
Doesn't Michael Jackson now own the bones of the Elephant Man?

by NineInchNachos on 1/26/2009 @ 9:57pm
tacomic status update: no news topics really appeal to me. going with default 'traveller' cartoon.

by Crenshaw Sepulveda on 1/26/2009 @ 11:44pm
No "traveller" version of the logo?

by NineInchNachos on 1/26/2009 @ 11:52pm
hey the grand cinema is cool, just not traveller cool. Wait for the Traveller documentary film being crafted by our friends over at the melon. If it ever makes it to a grand cinema film festival only time can tell.

Nice work. This is the kind of volunteerism Obama was speaking of, I think.
