Tripe Not Truth (TNT)

Repulsive By Default

I’m getting sick and tired of the 5views.com and what passes for blogging in that imbecilic diatribe spank-house.

I’ve been relatively quiet about the garbage Jeff Becker posts, but I’m to the point where I can’t keep quiet about it.

Enjoy this righteous indignation (video below)!

Worth watching. Hard hitting. Makes me actually think TV might not be a complete waste.

RR, you tempt me to create a 3rd posting with the same title complaining about bloggers complaining about other bloggers.

by NineInchNachos on 9/14/2008 @ 8:41pm
that's something I would do Morgan.

I'm waiting...

I don't think Olbermann could look anymore self-indulgent in his indignation lest he were simultaneously masturbating. MSNBC is just as bad as Fox, only with a different bias. I'd have alot more respect for political pundits if they expressed their indignation and ire like this guy. Life would be so much more peaceful if everyone settled their differences with luncheon meats.

daddy would you like some sausage ? ha ha ho

This video is a crock of vituperative shit.

"Hard hitting"? Erik I think you've started drinking the Kool-Aid.

I learned in college that one of the basic tenets of reasonable debate was logic.

The minute emotionalism is injected all is lost and you might as well resort to name calling, which seems to have become the new vanguard of political discourse.

by NineInchNachos on 9/15/2008 @ 9:58pm
since when did logic have anything to do with politics? I'd argue that it's all about emotionalism... just like law. the ancient Greeks, the roman senate were all master name callers.

full disclosure: I enjoy the heated passions of all political parties.

(and ya gotta give full props to a cat in devil horns who can properly use a five syllable word in context!!)

a comment of pulchritude

I think a big part of the problem with people like Olbermann is that their ideological bent is afforded too much nurture and coddling at their respective politically biased news networks. I wanna see some REAL party politics. Merge MSNBC and Fox, once you've got Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Keith Olbermann and Chris Mathews all in the same room defecating into their hands and flinging feces at each other, THE RATINGS WILL SKYROCKET.

by KevinFreitas on 9/16/2008 @ 6:35am
@marum: Haha! You're totally right. Then after we tire of the poo slinging we give them weapons so they can annihilate themselves and we can all go back to watching PBS and enjoying NPR. Civil keeps my blood pressure low.

anyhow. this post was an obvious jab at this post incase you missed it...

Thorax O' Tool has a very sad comment worth taking into consideration..

I guess enjoy it while it lasts. The Trib is a sinking ship, and we’ll soon have that whole problem to face rather than their apparent bias.

I joke you not, a friend of mine who works for the Seattle Times tells me some members of their circulation dept have a bet going. They’re betting on how long till the Trib folds.
This is a prime example why the local paper should be owned locally, and not by a nation-wide corporate conglomerate."

Can you imagine Tacoma without the Trib? How depressing is that!?

by marumaruyopparai on 9/16/2008 @ 11:20am
Yeah, your post hovers directly above that of 5views, it was entertaining satire, but I was brainwashed by the hypnotic din of Olbermann's tirade.

As for the Tribune, I definitely concede Thorax's point concerning local ownership of local media. Your clip above alone speaks well for the path blazed by corporate media.

Entertaining Tacomic this week, but I don't understand the monkey suit, maybe I'm missing something.

by marumaruyopparai on 9/16/2008 @ 11:24am
@Freitas: I enjoy party politics for it's theatrical value but I understand your affinity for more civil media. I work part-time as a courier and divide my time between coservative and liberal talk radio and get myself pretty worked up, I'm definitely a safer driver listening to NPR.
