TV Tacoma All-Stars: May Citizens Forum!
Subtitle Goes Here
Author's Statement of Purpose: My goal is to get more people to be interested in the CITIZENS
forum on TV Tacoma. I want folks to be able to recognize people on the
street and have compassion for the engine driving them. "I will forge
new connections to people orphaned by civilization." - RR Anderson
OR

The thin gray line... the front line of defense for all us 'to-busy-for-politics' average citizens. Though not as awesome as a CITIZENS FORUM event which happens the first Tuesday of every month, we still are treated to the presence of our most opinionated citizens. This is their story...
Lonely University Place Guy
"I just think its discouraging juvenile delinquents... other day bus driver... threw a boulder through windshield damage to passengers... and and compassion for homeless... teach our children how to behave, not attacking bus. thank you."Phyllis Barrett DiscoverTacoma.com

"I have over 400 pages of documents proving that Police are filling up their police cars on tax money!"Insane Award Woman

"The council needs to do more to shut down the for profit detention facility In the Tide Flats!"RR Commentary: you guys need to focus on parts the city has control over otherwise they'll just say its a federal deal and ignore you. You kids should ask why the MM Bridge was raised in the middle of your protest? Why is it the job of the city to provide riot cops etc. for a facility that is not in their jurisdiction? Also there ARE things the council can do, they've taken symbolic stances on federal matters before... stuff like climate change, rights for domestic partners... um... uh... green energy? whatever.
M.L.King Private Homeless Center Fiasco!!!
We're Closing the Shelter Admin.

"We never wanted to take care of the homeless, we just got sucked into it... now we want out."Please Don't Close the Shelter! Lobby

"The city can rally and come up with money to pay for stupid public art, and money to meet the blackmail demands of corporate flunkies like Russel. Who is going to rally for us?"Julie Anderson, Champion
"Thank you. We have nothing to do with the I.C.E. facility so please stop complaining to us about it. Also we have nothing to do with the closing of the homeless shelter, that being said... sorry."Marilyn Strickland, Champion
"Business!" cried the Ghost, wringing its hands again. "Mankind was
my business. The common welfare was my business; charity, mercy,
forbearance, and benevolence, were, all, my business. The dealings of
my trade were but a drop of water in the comprehensive ocean of my
business!"Mike Lonergan
It held up its chain at arm's length, as if that
were the cause of all its unavailing grief, and flung it heavily upon
the ground again. "At this time of the rolling year," the spectre said, "I suffer most. Why did I walk through crowds of fellow-beings with my eyes turned down, and never raise them to that blessed Star which led the Wise Men to a poor abode? Were there no poor homes to which its light would have conducted me?"

RR Anderson is one of the most curious characters in the UFO lore and the history of underground cartooning. He fought bizarre underground beings in the caves of Alaska, was wounded by a laser before it was invented, and had a background with the clandestine branch of the Tacoma Cartoonists Society.
