Too funny.

Here's another poll in Tacoma

In order to provide a blueprint for increased investment, the City of Tacoma's Community and Economic Development Department is partnering with AngelouEconomics, an Austin-based economic development consulting firm, to develop an economic development strategic plan for downtown Tacoma. AngelouEconomics is the largest independent economic development consulting firm in the U.S. and specializes in creating strategies for communities seeking high impact investment and targeted, managed growth solutions.

Your input is needed!

As part of the development of the strategic plan, the City of Tacoma is looking for your feedback. We are asking all citizens and business owners in the Tacoma region to complete a brief downtown survey. Your input will help AngelouEconomics and the City of Tacoma better understand the dynamics of downtown and prepare recommendations.

Heh. Tom Waits.

You so missed the boat on Jake, though.

Mr. Thrice, our data mining techniques are infallible. Perhaps it is Jake who has missed the boat.

From Godzilla to jolly Buddha head-like character. Derek sure knows how to shape shift. At least in the world of RR illustration.

so what should we do for the anniversary Tacomic? Are you feeling left out Kevin? How about a KEVIN™ Action Figure? Since you're the guy that helped launch my tacomic career yo.

Haha, no need but I wouldn't stop you.

Just started an anniversary Tacomic suggestion topic in the forums for folks ideas.

You could "unveil" the KEVIN™ Action Figure at the one year anniversary at the Helm and show all of your art off there. (I think you still have a number left from your old show)

Wine, beer and art. Then raise the velvet curtain to reveal Kevins Tacomic before all!

Working Title "RR Anderson reveals Freitas Tacomic at the Helm."

I was at a discussion last night at the Varsity and was able to identify Derek on sight, just because I read this post! Thank you, RR. You've provided a valuable service.

RR Anderson: Not just a tool. A USEFUL tool.

Alas, but no.

I'd like to push for my contest idea again. Submissions to be accepted throughout the month of February, at several locations in parking garages downtown. Draw your comic idea on the wall! The winner will have their image properly sized and plastered across a Clear Channel billboard of their choosing.

Clear Channel billboards need all the help they can get. as in metal cutting chainsaws / cutting torches.

Nice picture. A perfect storm of blight. Even the billbaords are blighted. Blight on blight.

I spent way too long trying to find what thread that billboard picture was in tonight, because I've wanted to do this to it since you first posted it, and I've finally downloaded and started playing with Gimp...

RR Anderson is one of the most curious characters in the UFO lore and the history of underground cartooning. He fought bizarre underground beings in the caves of Alaska, was wounded by a laser before it was invented, and had a background with the clandestine branch of the Tacoma Cartoonists Society.
