Encouraging You to Visit An Exciting Contemporary Art Gallery in the Heart of Downtown Tacoma

Hi there!

My ultra-attractive wife and I have found this new Helm gallery to be a happening place to visit on the ol' Third Thursday art walk thing.  Now i'm no social butterfly, but I'm starting to enjoy inviting my friends down after work, grabbing a bit to eat and heading over to see some ultra-hipster contemporary art.  They really seem to have their shit together.  Hey, but what about that grubby/street vibe? Not these kids!  The bouquet and demeanor of folks in attendance are generally pleasant and fun to be around.

If you are a young person and your meek personal finances equal those of a tacoma-based web designer, here is your ideal cultural destination!  Impress your non-downtown friends!

Meanwhile, in the Dining Department...

If you're looking for an economical  alternative to the  8+ dollar  grilled cheese sandwiches on pacific avenue, I feel your pain.    Also, what's up with the friggin'  8 dollar glass-o-wine?  (time to invest in a wine sack)

Interesting. Although most employers are nonplussed about employees drinking on the job from a flask (or wine sack) under their desk. However, far be it from me to questions the Modus operandi of Tacoma's newly arrived "Creative Class."

Sounds like you had a great time! Did you walk across the street and see the show at Sanford and son?

Yeah ever since I heard about the imaginary chainsaw incident that shut down the haunted house, i'm afraid to go in that Sanford and Son place.

Yeah I've burned through most of the restaurants I can afford, at this point in the evolution of my blog. Maybe I need a wine sack. Although, traveling around with the kids and a wine sack is probably not a good idea. Plus, they'd want Juicy Juice sacks. Then it's not so economical anymore.

There's always the custom made goat skin
