Never did the fang thang, but I did have a transfusion once. I learned two things from that experience:
1) For some reason, in the Pugetopolis region, B+ is as hard to come by as AB-. Why? Who knows, but it's uncool when you have to scour Pierce and King counties to get 6 units of your blood type.
2) Transfusions hurt! Avoid them!
