[Not a rumor] The Seattle Times reports that a state-wide pilot program which allows beer and wine tastings to occur in grocery stores is starting October 1st.
"The pilot will include seven Safeway stores, five Fred Meyer and QFC stores (which are owned by Kroger), two Haggen and Top Food & Drug stores and one Albertsons. The chains are still deciding which of their stores will participate."
In Tacoma you can get tipsy while shopping at:
- Tacoma Boys on 6th Ave
- Stadium Thriftway
and of course
- Metropolitan Market.
It's nice to see Washington finally moving out of the prohibition era!
