John McBush?

I know some of you don't like political discussions on this site, but I was reading Rolling Stone last night and they have quite the article on McCain. AsI was reading I was struck how like bush he really is. He also came from privledge, he was following a hard to follow father and grandfather and he was mediocre in everything he attempted to do.

As I continued to read, I begin to think maybe he is worse, he crashed three planes, he has quite a temper. There were quotes in there from many many senators who have witnessed him lose it, in addition it has been substantiated by three reporters that at some press thing he called his wife a c...

Okay so now I am rambling, but here is my point he is not fit to be commander in chief. He flip flops, he is not well versed in foreign relations ( saying he would not meet with the leader of spain) His tax plan would once again give unneeded breaks to the wealthy, he is out of touch with the economy and his running mate doesn't believe in dinosaurs. Okay yes he was a pow but that is not a qualification for president. Those of you on the fence and those of you who are prepared to vote for him, I implore you to give it some hard critical thinking. Would he really be a good president?

first game

Had my first game coaching soccer today. I loved every minute of it, the rain, the smell of the grass and all those boys having such a good time.

Did you watch?

Usually at six we are deep into dishes and homework, but tonight I hurried through and sat down with my husband to watch. She did better than I expected, but really kept to her talking points.I find the constant reference to McCain as a maverick annoying and it bothered me that neither one would back gay marriage. Her repeated talk of energy independence stemming from drilling was also troubling. I don't think she was an asset to the campaign tonight.

when there are no rules

My son is in third grade and he used to play basketball at recess, but the bigger tougher kids took away all the rules and the game turned into a free for all and was no longer fun, so he moved on to soccer, same thing happened. He is now playing tether ball which is about as fun as well, nothing. My point is when the rules are gone no one but the bullies win. We deregulated the credit market, lending practices and banks, we took away the rules and now only the bullies are winning.

grand theft auto really?

Yesterday after spending 3 hours with 11 eight year old boys, my patience was beginning to unravel ( coaching sons soccer team) We were giving a boy on the team a ride home,on the way home my kids and I were given a blow by blow description of the new grand theft auto video game, when I told the kid we didn't play that at our house he moved on to describing the south park episode he watched at one in the morning. So to get on with the story, we had to stop at the store and I told the kid his shoes were untied, he said " I don't know how to tie"

WTF this kid is up till all hours of the night playing and watching things that are highly innapropriate but he doesn't know how to tie his shoes. I wanted to take his mom and shake her. Needless to say I know where my son won't be spending the night.

McCain looks scared

In the last week, McCain has began looking like a deer in the headlights. Look at pictures his eyes are filled with fear. Maybe it's just me.

a..hole home owners

I was walking up 36th this morning when I noticed that a house being built that was completely blocking the next door neighbors view. I stopped and talked to the builders who said that the homeowners bought the land, knocked down the existing one story house and decided to build up. This house is not just blocking some of the view, it is blocking the whole thing. Tacoma needs some legislation against this. The house is one house in on the corner of 36th and warner and they are a..holes.

How could he be ahead

I know this is not a political site, and pardon my french how the f... can John McCain be ahead in the polls. I mean if he voted with bush 90% of the time and really doesn't disagree with him on anything and Bush only had a 27%approval rating then how can this be. Our country is in lot of trouble, our dollar is weak, people are losing there homes left and right, unemployment is up and yet we're not ready for change? And Sara Palin come one, they won't even let her speak to the media, why? Because she hasn't been schooled yet. Jesus Christ, if McCain is elected along with that bible thumping, gun toting, anti abortionist I swear to God I'm moving to Canada, oh wait I wouldn't have enough money to move to Canada.

Smiling Mommies

After getting my two to school and a nice short run I headed to starbucks on proctor for a breakfast sandwich and then I remembered why I don't like starbucks on proctor. For one I do not like their remodel, it looks cold and commercial and for two it is packed with jogging strollers and smiling mommies. What do I mean by smiling mommies you may ask, well the conversations you overhear are just nauseating " Oh I was so sad to see her/him go, we just had such a wonderful summer, oh if they could only be home longer" gag me, come on be honest. I did not work this summer, I did not go to school, my children did not attend camp, that means we were together 24/7 and I was very happy to see them off, and they were happy too. I don't know why these kinds of mothers bug me, but they just do and if your that kind of mother with the jogging stroller that crowds stores, aisles and sidewalks and you have a big smile on your face while your pushing your almost five year old well, no offense.
