Crazy old 5 views is disputing global warming again, what a nut. He also has a picture of Obama looking like Irkel. I read his posts thinking I would find some legitimate complaints about Obama, nope. That man is an idiot. But who's the bigger idiot, him for writing all that crazy stuff or me for continuing to read it. Him.

|I thought about posting some links to articles about how record breaking cold weather relates to global warming but then I just thought why bother. He's not interested in facts.|

Uh, the record-breaking cold weather? That's fact.
The relationship between record-breaking cold weather and global warming? That's theory.
Just so you know.

|It's true, we don't actually know for sure with any degree of certainty that there is a correlation. That being said, it is currently the most likely explanation.|

|"That being said, it is currently the most likely explanation."
Nonsense. The far, FAR more likely explanation is that we are seeing the same naturally occurring cycle that has been in existence for hundreds of millions of years. All available evidence points to this (provided that one doesn't fudge the numbers or game the results, the way many so-called climate scientists do).

Assuming we are talking about the rapid pace of said climate change, and not the fact that it is occurring at all, that is completely false. I don't think any reputable scientist would dispute the argument that climate change is, and always has been, a natural part of our planet's existence.
What is under debate is whether or not our presence and activity are ALSO a contributing factor. I don't doubt that there is bias and "fudging" on both sides of the argument, but it is difficult to dismiss the correlation.

|It's simple physics. Add heat trapping gasses to the atmosphere, you trap more heat. We're adding them, and global temps are rising. Either take political and personal action to reduce its magnitude or accept the consequences.
I hope the Flat Earth Society at least enjoys sounding like idiots -- I'd hate for it to be a totally useless activity.

And and accelerating factor. In no time in Earth's natural history has any such swing in temperature change occurred save for when we bumped into that asteroid and wiped out a majority of species on the planet.
Read up people -- it's real, it's happening and AJoss is correct that cooling occurs as well in these sorts of situations. When the equation changes (e.g. temperature) the entire result is thrown off. In this case that includes regular ocean current and wind patterns producing strange weather all over the place. Likewise with more heat around the globe there's more energy to feed crazy storms and such -- but we haven't seen any of those (note they ran out of letters in the alphabet for named storms that year) now have we?

|I for one have no idea what you are talking about. Our weather has been perfectly normal, in fact the snowman has almost melted.|

|yeah. what everybody said. For my intents and purposes, I ignore the spoutings of self-righteous boobs because I know that logic and sound judgment won't change their minds. It'll just get my panties wadded up too tight and then I'd just be grumpy and uncomfortable --AND I will have given an idiot an undeserved web-hit....|

|i will reserve judgment on the issue until mofo has a say.
I dunno this global warming thing really could just be a liberal conspiracy to let gays marry.

|I have enjoyed this weather. I am sick of hearing people complain about the weather, it's winter. I think people would complain less if they just got out in it, put on a coat and get out there, it's not that bad.|
