Third Thursday Report
Last night was a pretty great night for art. I saw the Renoir exhibitat TAM, bumped into a few friends at the new Impromptu Gallery, and
I'm not entirely sure that I didn't crash a private party at Helm.
Still, they had a really cool cardboard sculpture there I wanted to
see.
Then, by chance, I found a new minimalist/abstract piece commissioned
by the City that was absolutely astounding. Just across the street and
down a bit from Helm was an amazing work of art. I believe it was
called 'Overboard, Three Parts'. I'm hopeful that the City will
continue to commission these pieces in the future, as I think they add
a lot of class and character to the area, and help establish Tacoma as
the place to go for great art.
