Art onthe Ave - Crescent Moon Gifts

Open House!

We're having a big party at Crescent Moon today!

Local fantasy artists and musical groups will be in the store throughout the day.

Every hour will be a new (free) intro-class - I'll be giving the 12noon class "Intro to Hoodoo."

I'll also be the store Tarot reader for the first half of the day.

Hope to see a few familiar faces today!

Stopped by and looked at your shop. Nice place. My kids wanted everything you had in stock. Art on the Ave. was an awesome community building event again this year. Way to go 6th Ave Merchants!

Hoodoo, Wicca, Tarot Cards, various pagan Earth Earth Religions... All that stuff is a bit too occult for kids, don't you think?
I'm rather surprised at you Fredo. You're usually much more sensible and responsible than that.

If I didn't immerse myself in every sub culture I wouldn't be able to post authoritatively on every subject.

The store is 90% faeries and dragons and hippie stuffs and 10% pagan faiths.

Hoodoo is a Judeo-Christian folk magic dating back to slavery and Tarot cards started out as Atout which was invented by Cicerian monks as a way to bring bible stories into hostile lands in the 6th century.

And just to take the bait - are you suggesting that people who follow non-Christian paths shouldn't teach their kids? Or just that fredo shouldn't teach his kids to be accepting of others beliefs?

I find it a surprising comment considering Fredo's seemingly apparent xenophobia sentiment, as revealed in his various illegal aliens topics.
To take his kids to anything other that the "safest", "least ethnic", "most mainstream" and "most white bread" places seems out of character.
Which, of course, calls into question whether Fredo is as represented here or whether the Fredo of the intenet is a different animal than the Fredo of real life.

"I find it a surprising comment considering Fredo's seemingly apparent xenophobia sentiment, as revealed in his various illegal aliens topics."

Could I really be xenophobic and a champion of the poor at the same time? Think about it.

"Could I really be xenophobic and a champion of the poor at the same time? Think about it."

Is it me, or did I just read Fredo saying that the poor are foreigners?

Let's see, if A = B , then C+D = F - A... ...wait, my head hurts.
