Help with the Winthrop Window
I am super swamped at work this week, but I still need to fill a little hole in the community called the Withrop Window.
The window is all ours, Frost Parkies. We just need to fill it with our LOVE. With that said, this is a call to all ya'll to let me know what you have:
Props? (no electricity available, sorry)

|You want origami birds, I got origami birds. Let me know how many and what colors.|
by dawntown on 9/3/2008 @ 12:38pm
Any and all you can spare for the window.

That piece you are working on would look great colorwise surrounded by origami birds
Make a giant origami bird with artist friends etc that can write on it etc. and hang it surrounded by the little birdies

|Or Droid as a performance artist doing his own one man interpretation of "Hair" (nekid)
surrounded by little origami birdies

|Yah, whatever happened to the people who wanted to pose naked in the window?
BTW, the window is located in a downtown police office branch, so you will be completely protected from WEIRDOS

|No electricity can be used. Whaaaa!!
I want my power :(
I really wanted to show those videos Kev, Adam, and whoever else has made

Nobody wants to see the that particular production of "Hair".
I suppose I could look around for that one act, one man musical version of "Equus" I was working on, complete with the show stopping tunes, "Quit Horsing Around" and "You Look'n at Me?". Unfortunately the rights are currently in dispute.
However, on the origami birds front, I have them in the hundreds right now (around a thousand), but will need them back for a project I am working on.

|I won't be able to make Frost Park, but maybe Andrea or Stowe can pick them up?|

|Hey Dawn, |
I have my original Love/253 sketch. I could color it in and lend it to you for a while. I won't be at Frost Park either, but I can attempt to get it to Chickadee or Elle to give to Andrea or Stowe?
P.S. Or I could leave it as is, but it's a pencil sketch all smudged with chalk ;) Not as pretty as the real thing.
by dawntown on 9/3/2008 @ 4:37pm
That would be waaayy cool!
Email me @ email@example.com so I can get it from you

That picture of you Dawn is FREAKIN FUNNY!
You're a silly willy!

|What would be neat is if someone came up with a cool way to display the photos of the best chalk entries. I think the photographers here are the unspoken heroes of Frost Park.|
by dawntown on 9/3/2008 @ 6:24pm
|You got that right.|

|I feel like I've missed something. Or at least forgotten it, which is just as possible with my random memory. But in any case...what IS the Withrop Window???
Adam is a confused alien.

|I also have a framed poster sized rendition of Stowe's X-Men style battle art for the Chalk Off VII that I am willing to lend.|
by dawntown on 9/4/2008 @ 9:23am
|O yes! I definitely could use framed items.
Andrew, I will not be able to make Frost Park this week, but I would love to get these items you are willing to lend out for the window display. If you are going to FP, you could possible hand them off to Stowe or Andrea or Laura Hanan, who will get them to me or stow them in our studio down the street.
One of the prizes a few weeks back was sposored by Deidra of One Store in Sanford and Sons. She has a display window, located next to the Winthrop Building across the street from FP. She awarded the winner 2 month use of this display window, to display their artwork or whatever. I won, and wanted to promote Frost Park in it for awhile.
