Pickup soccer is available saturdays at 930am at a Curtis High School field. We just divide the people into teams and get some good exercise. The play is competitive but all in fun with a range of skill levels. Show up and get ready to understand the intricacies of the game before the Tacoma Tide Football Club season begins next month.

|15 in attendance. we got relegated to university place primary school as there was a little league practice going on at curtis high. when i left for the tide game, the score was still tied 9 to 9. some quick high schooler was there and ran circles around everyone with the soccer ball.|

|"...fun with range of skill levels."|
How... low can the skill range go on Saturdays? I used to make a fool of myself indoors long ago; I could easily do the same outdoors. And I'm still used to being picked last. Seriously, I'm pretty bad. But any of you other FeedTacoma people interested? ToT?

|yes, we are all interested. there were 9 attending yesterday and the great weather/sun drained everyones energy and there was a bit of walking and wheezing. it is the elementary school on grandview down the street from curtis high school|

|27th St W and Grandview, University Place at 0930 on saturday mornings.
there are no goals so we use miniature hockey sized goals with no goalies. bring water, i get thirsty.

|Sounds even more intriguing. I can't be any worse than I was at exit133 bocce in the olden days. Yet another question: If I went to one of these, would I be the only one without regulation outdoor soccer shoes? I beginning to think not.|

|yes, wear whatever you feel comfortable in. the ground drains well, so it's not muddy and slick. i personally wear shin guards because i don't like getting kicked in the shins.|

|Found my old shin guards, but something else came up this morning. I mentioned Saturday Morning Soccer to a friend of mine (watching Bayern/Milan at this moment) and he also wants to give it a go. So I'll watch for the next one.|

|not a surprise. I tried organizing a weekly game of Ultimate a couple years back. First week 4 people showed. Second week, two. After that it was only me.
It's hard to get people to get off their duffs and do something.

|it is moving around between wednesday, monday and thursday night and there were about 20 people last week. they played last night, but i didn't want to advertise it, because i am selfish and want a crowd to show up at the tide matches.
all of my friends are d-bag sounders fans though, and couldn't care less about tacoma.
ultimate could be fun, but throwing a frisbee straight for distances greater than 6 feet is physically impossible.
