Frost Park Chalk Off 10 Battle Art

Being the Greatest Illustrator in the Universe (of Tacoma) comes with some hefty responsibility. None the least of which is producing quality Battle Art to shame and cow fellow chalk competitors. I do not take such a duty lightly.

Behold. Art for Battle.

My apologies to Jack "The King" Kirby.

Prints are available for $6 in my Feed>>Tacoma e-store.

capitol! top notch! One of the perks of a Stowe win is the amazing battle art.

Amazing Stowe. You nailed it and integrated an uncountable number of themes and I see Episode X even makes a showing in there.

Here's the Feed Tacoma shops store:

Thanks for selling me a copy today.

I love all the little references in the background - Tacomachickadee's Devil Duck, Dawn's Tacoma Dome Frostee Freeze, jcbetty's stick people - so awesome!

At the park would be fine.

If anyone else is interested on an in park hand off let me know. I pretty much print on demand.

And thanks RR and Eric... your weborganization far exceeds my own.

Okay... I've noticed a very disturbing pattern here. First the X-Man, now the Fantastic Four. Stowe, you might as well admit it. You're a Marvelite, aren't you? Well, I demand equal time! Just think of what can be done with these classic DC covers!

The Flash Of Two Worlds:

The one, true Justice League?

Or even the finale of Crisis?

Again, equal time for DC!

by Frinklin on 6/11/2008 @ 7:51pm
Oh, and I totally want the FF one on Friday.

by jamesstoweart on 6/11/2008 @ 7:57pm
I admit it... I suffer from horrible Marvel bias.

I even subscribe to Marvel's Direct Comics Unlimited online backlog service. I am a mighty Marvel fanboy.

Search my art blog long enough can you can find all sorts of horrible mutant and skrull like atrocities.

I can get behind some Giffen Justice League though. Gotta love the Giffen.

I don't have FF 1.1 like the above, but I do have The Amazing SM 129 with the first appearance of the Punisher. Oh, yes I do.

And sign me up for a poster.

Okay, I make it three pages in before we hit a Surtur the Fire Giant reference. Nicely done.

1-Your GeNext characters are a lot more visually interesting than the real book.

2-Fing Fang Foom, Morbius the Living Vampire and Lockjaw. Skrull that!

Very cool- any Cracked/Mad inspirations?

Just checked out the store: silk laser print? It's printed on silk? What?

by jamesstoweart on 6/11/2008 @ 9:51pm
I get the prints made at the ol' Fed Ex-Kinkos. They off a nice heavyweight laser copier paper with a silk (rather than glossy) finish. It is their heaviest grade paper and I have been very happy with the results they have been able to achieve.
