mmmmmm, coffee
(cavanaugh's makes me happy.)
Someday I want to write about the things that make me smile from a deep down, warm in my heart place. For now, I will write about just one: Cavanaugh's Coffee. It's kind of, the anti-hipster joint. My kid loves it here because there's a dog statue she can look at. I love it here becasue it's a comfortable place where I can tap into free wifi without feeling self-conscious or un-hip; it's super close to the kid's school, and it's pretty close to the house. The 130 degree latte is always the right temp (why is it, when you say, "130 degrees" soem cups scald, while some are right on?) and I love that Linda always knows exactly what I want and starts it up even before I order.
Today as I finish up my last order of business for work (yay, emancipation!) I can't help but smile and feel like, for me, this is as close to perfect as it gets.
