when life gets really exciting

(yeeeeee-ep.)

The Kid actually slept well, more or less.  I actually slept well-ish, more or less, sans night-time cold medicine.  Kid still has a fever, yes, and is kept home yet  again.  And we are restless, oh yeah.

I basically begged, pleaded (pled?) and groveled to get Minnie Me DeRosa over for a play date (thanking deific entities that her mom, good friend Steph DeRosa isn't a germophobe) --Good friend S DeR agreed, and even brought me a latte, manna from Heaven (or Starbucks, due to lack of available parking at Satellite). Good friends rock.

And yet, restlessness consumes me.  Yes, I dressed.  Yes, I brushed my teeth. Yes, I watched the brand new Barbie movie, twice (truly dire) and the Bratz fairy tale movie (slightly less dire than the Barbie one, believe it or not.)Then, the upstairs DVD started playing nervous breakdown games, and abjectly refused to play Barbie's Mariposa one more time (who can blame it.) So now, the kids are outside, breathing germ-free air and picking rosemary, pansies, and sage.  Making a stew? I believe, making the most of a reprieve in the weather.

As for me? I'm ready for something fun to happen.  *tapping fingers*

If your little one is still home tomorrow let me know. I can bring A. over for a morning playdate if we get there by 10 or so. She'd love to have someone to play with in the morning.

Missed you tonight. It was very quiet without you. I don't like it when you're not here. Get well, OK?

Also, didn't I just loan you, like, 12 books? You have plenty to do, Missy. Get reading! I expect a report by next Wednesday!

damn! I didn't watch the Project, I slept. I did watch ANTM, though. It was lackluster. I was irritated my genital mutilation woman. Yes, I know that is a tragic subject, and it pisses me off that women are treated like that, in the world...but...dude. Every scene with the woman, must we be reminded, lest we forgot?

ensie-- I missed you guys, too...it was muy quiet, here too... I'd read, if the kid was less... needy (as soon as I sit to rest/be mellow, I get "moooooooom!")
Miss S DeR! Yes, I appreciate appreciation, too! :D AND good friends!
got it, Jen-- see ya soon!
