when life gets really exciting
(yeeeeee-ep.)
The Kid actually slept well, more or less. I actually slept well-ish, more or less, sans night-time cold medicine. Kid still has a fever, yes, and is kept home yet again. And we are restless, oh yeah.
I basically begged, pleaded (pled?) and groveled to get Minnie Me DeRosa over for a play date (thanking deific entities that her mom, good friend Steph DeRosa isn't a germophobe) --Good friend S DeR agreed, and even brought me a latte, manna from Heaven (or Starbucks, due to lack of available parking at Satellite). Good friends rock.
And yet, restlessness consumes me. Yes, I dressed. Yes, I brushed my teeth. Yes, I watched the brand new Barbie movie, twice (truly dire) and the Bratz fairy tale movie (slightly less dire than the Barbie one, believe it or not.)Then, the upstairs DVD started playing nervous breakdown games, and abjectly refused to play Barbie's Mariposa one more time (who can blame it.) So now, the kids are outside, breathing germ-free air and picking rosemary, pansies, and sage. Making a stew? I believe, making the most of a reprieve in the weather.
As for me? I'm ready for something fun to happen. *tapping fingers*
