This just in from Maxwell's. If you haven't checked them out yet, here's a good excuse:
Rock the Vote
Civic involvement matters, and Maxwell's wants to show our support to those who vote. How will we do that? Just bring in your "I Voted" sticker (or something to show that you voted) on Election Day (November 4, 2008) and receive a complimentary Maxwell's "Power of the People" Purple Martini. Why purple? Because at Maxwell's it doesn't matter if you're red or blue, we're fond of all colors.
Election Night Party!
Join us at Maxwell's on Tuesday, November 4th for a special election night tracker party! Watch the election unfold with friends and neighbors and relax in our lounge with that delicious purple martini you just earned.

Finally, a cool place to watch the election results.

Question though: I voted via abstentee ballot and didn't get an "I Voted" sticker. Do you have to vote old school in order to get the sticker? Abstentee voters need fun too!
Also, the state came down on Starbucks for offering free coffee to voters - they are now offering everyone a free cup of drip.

I think only voters should get free coffee if that's what Starbuck's wants. Incentive to vote shouldn't be spread to non-voting slackers.

I wouldn't want the Feds knocking on my door. The state came down on Starbucks but is a federal election law I guess. Also not too sure if Maxwell's should be giving away free drinks. Might not want the liqour board to find out about that one.
Stuff on my brain.
