The new and improved Blackwater is open!
The paint is still wet, but things are coming together quite nicely. There is talk about creating a small meeting room in the back and putting a coffee bar in the window. Following the mantra: small small small - Rachel and her crew have carved out a very focused and manageable cafe.
Good job Rachel!

|Stopped in this afternoon to check out the new digs-- teensy tiny for sure, but there's that nice open window platform (is that where the coffee bar might go?) and my plain-old-latte was as delicious as ever. I was happy to hear the barista say that about 90% of the people she served today were regulars from the old spot.
I'll definitely keep up my regular patronage... but the limited space may relegate it to a "grab and go" kind of place, instead of a "sit and chat."

|you mean the sit all day and drink drip all day lurkers?
Was probibly a good business move to keep traffic in and out, much more profitable

|I'm with by Emilie has one foot on the shore. The new space is cool, but I'll miss the old space and the ability hang out for a while with my laptop without feeling like I'm getting in the way. Hanging out for awhile in a coffee shop, of all places, does not qualify as "lurking."|
Stuff on my brain.
