Tiki Lounge

Love it. Love.

I sure took my sweet time getting over to the Tiki Lounge!  Good golly, but I did  not know what I was missing!  Store owner/operator Stacey White is a lot of fun to talk to, and she has so many cute, fun items in her boutique - clothing, handbags, jewelry, shoes, hats...

It was a hard decision, but I came away with a really cool new handbag with cream-colored pleather layers that look sort-of like an upscale ruffle, and wooden horn-like pieces on the handle.  There was also an awesome clutch with big rhinestones on it that I have to go back for, plus all the great clothes that I haven't tried on yet!  My fashionista friend Amy Crawford got a sparkly new ring and is already on a first-name basis with the owner!

I can't wait to go back.

Tiki Lounge is located at 17 N. Tacoma Ave. and is across from the new Dame Lola in a very fun Stadium neighborhood.

They used to carry some great men's clothing but I don't think they do anymore :(

Yeah, I didn't see any men's items. I think Cake in UP still carries some men's things.

Red Line also carries mens. Stacey's got a great eye for fun, funky styles and lines, though I find her sizing runs small... Same thing happens at Envy, though...

Rocky & Coco's (on St, Helens next to City Hall) must be the only store in downtown that carrys new mens clothing now. Oh they carry womens stuff too.

I heart Stacey. She is good people.

Damn...think I need to stop into Tiki sometime soon. Sure do miss her. :(

And yes, JCbetty - Envy runs small as well. Very disheartening as a female, huh? Thank goodness we start our stuff on Monday!

I have heard that complaint of several of the women's boutiques, that they don't carry sizes much above 8-10? Maybe someone will open a great boutique that caters more to additional sizes. It is hard being a small business owner though, you can never do it all!

There is a shop in Middle Floor Merchants of the old Sanford building that has a small rack of men's clothing in mostly hemp and organic cotton. Not hippy style - eco fashion style. Think designer blue jeans made from organic cotton. I think the shop has two names, one of them is Country Girl's Garden. In addition to selling lovely earth friendly clothing for men and women, the (delightful) owner makes soap there in the shop. I think she has a nice variety of sizes also - not just junior miss like some of the other spots in town.

p.s. I adore Tiki Lounge
