Kevin Freitas in to win City of Destiny 2008

A couple weeks ago, I heard about the City of Destiny awards. According to the city's site, they are awarded to "outstanding volunteer[s who give] time, energy and effort freely, hoping to better his or her community and expecting nothing in return."

Well, I couldn't think of anyone better to get a nomination than Kevin, aka Freitaka, aka the FeedTacoma guru. So I filled out the form, sent it in, and hopefully, Kevin will win. Show him support, and cross your fingers.

The committee overseeing the awards will make their decisions sometime in February, and the winners will get notified sometime soon after.
